Since 2021, $RARI has quietly powered the Rarible ecosystem. Serving as a governance mechanism, the token was used to power voting within RARI DAO, which governs RARI Chain, the Rarible Protocol and $RARI Treasury. This required the community to lock their tokens to participate in governance, raking in significant gas fees on Ethereum mainnet without accumulating rewards.
Today, that changes.
The RARI Foundation is proud to announce the launch of RARI Staking, unlocking real rewards, new governance tools, and a major step toward multi-chain participation in the RARI ecosystem. This isn't just a product update—it’s a reawakening of RARI DAO.

For the first time, holders can earn staking rewards by delegating their tokens to active participants in governance. That means putting your tokens to work, shaping the DAO and Rarible protocol while getting rewarded for it.

How it Works
Introducing a novel stake to delegate model: token holders can delegate their voting power to active community members or take the reins themselves and vote directly on DAO proposals.
This ensures governance remains robust, transparent, and impactful. Staking kicks off delegation on RARI Chain while the DAO transitions its governance to a multichain model with a hub on RARI Chain. The historical governance arm powered by veRARI and Ethereum will remain but will be eventually sunsetted for the new model. Locked veRARI will still be claimable at the end of the locking period.

Multi-chain model
As Rarible Protocol, the decentralized technology that powers the Rarible product stack, doubles down on their multichain vision, this move will be the first step towards RARI DAO going fully multichain.
This means that $RARI holders can vote and make proposals from any chain that supports $RARI (currently, RARI Chain, Arbitrum One, and Ethereum). This potentially reduces gas fees and speeds the governance process.
Step-by-Step Guide to $RARI Staking
To stake your $RARI tokens, you’ll find an intuitive flow on v2 of RARI DAO’s Tally profile.
Purchase $RARI on your preferred CEX, or transfer existing $RARI to the secure wallet you wish to use for governance. You will also need some ethereum in your wallet for gas fees.
Bridge your $RARI to RARI Chain using the Arbitrum Bridge.
Connect your wallet to v2 of RARI DAO on Tally. Be sure that you have RARI Chain connected to your wallet.
Select “New Position.”
Choose the amount of $RARI you’d like to stake. Select “Continue.”
Select a delegate from the list of RARI DAO delegates, or delegate voting power to yourself by choosing “delegate to myself.”
Confirm your delegate.
Review and confirm your selected funds and delegate.
Sign from your wallet.

50k in $RARI is dedicated to the staking rewards pool, scheduled over 3 seasons.
The first season, launching June 18th, 2025, offers 25k $RARI to be distributed to stakeholders, with a mechanism that rewards more according to the amount staked and to governance participation.
Staking Quests & Leaderboard
In addition to the staking rewards, we’re launching a two-week quest system. Complete on-chain tasks and compete on the leaderboard to earn a chance to win part of an 10K $RARI prize pool. The quests include:

Staking a minimum of 50 $RARI on Tally**

Participants have additional chances to earn points with Superboard’s Loops feature, where they can re-enter staking & bridging quests weekly (minimum 50 $RARI tx for staking and 10 $RARI for bridging to enter, $5 minimum to participate in weekly loops).
*Only the Arbitrum bridge will deliver the right token standard on RARI chain as $RARI is deployed as a custom L2 token
**Staking must take place on v2 of RARI DAO on Tally to be eligible for rewards. We will reward 10 winners based on the following criteria: 3 Raffle Winners (must have completed all 4 quests to enter raffle):
1 winner will receive a much-hyped NFT from the Espresso Systems’ PFP collection: “The Composables”
2 winners will receive $500 worth of $RARI
7 Leaderboard Winners will share $10k in $RARI based on total funds bridged and staked, the amount of time staked, and SUPR points. For an overview on rewards logic, see here. Additional points can be received by participating in the other quests above. In case of a tie, winners of equal (top) ranking will be chosen at random.
Top 3 will receive $2k/each
Top 4-7 will receive $1k/each
Quest will run from June 18-July 2 with winners announced in July. Wallets must pass a security screening to be rewarded. Rewards will be distributed in $RARI.
Exclusive NFT Drop by Amber Vittoria
As a special bonus, early stakers, i.e., those who join by July 2nd, will be allowlisted for a limited-edition drop by renowned artist Amber Vittoria, coming to Rarible July 10th.
Creator Fund Governed by the DAO
The RARI Chain branch of the DAO will additionally govern a creator fund, funded by sequencer revenue on RARI Chain. Projects and creators in the Rarible ecosystem will have an opportunity for DAO support to bring their visions to reality.

How do I add RARI Chain to my wallet?

Although other bridges support RARI Chain, only the Arbitrum native bridge supports the token standard required for staking. Please note that it typically takes 15 minutes to bridge your $RARI from Ethereum to Arbitrum One, and about 3 minutes to bridge from Arbitrum to RARI Chain.

Quests
I received an error message while taking the quiz. Why am I unable to complete it?
An error message occurs when you’ve selected a wrong answer. Please review your responses and try again. If you still have issues, you can visit Superboard support in Discord.
Why is there a minimum to bridge and stake $RARI?
We’ve set a $50 minimum to reduce botting. If your funds are limited, you can still participate in the raffle by taking the ecosystem quiz and minting the free mint on RaribleFUN.

Based on the rewards logic, does it make more sense to stake a larger amount early, or leverage the loops feature and stake more each week?
This is a personal preference, but the loops feature acts more as a bonus for those who’ve already completed the staking and bridging tasks to add more transactions to the ranking. The volume and length of the staking hold more weight in the overall leaderboard. For more information, go here.
